Fur Makes an Emphatic Return

The resurgence of fur coats has surprised the worldwide fashion scene. Figures of fur sales have indicated a boom of about 70 percent from 2000 to 2010. Fur pelts sales have even shot up to $15 to $16 billion during the winter season of 2010 to 2011 according to the industry's trade association, with some industry insiders attributing this boom to designers incorporating noticeable amounts of fur into a larger bevy of garments and a younger generation gaining more access on the truth about fur.

As expected, as the demand for fur coats surge, so do their prices. The fact that internationally acclaimed designers from notable fashion houses like Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, and Oscar de la Renta have made fur coats a staple in their collections for runways and fashion magazines don't help in reducing the prices of fur coats either. Thus, even though the fur coat manufacturing industry has successfully re-legitimized their products, not everyone is privileged enough to enjoy them.

Fortunately, things have changed, and people don't have to force themselves to deal with closed bank accounts just so they can take home a luxurious fur coat. Some online stores now offer a wide variety of top-quality, pre-owned fur coats at reasonable costs. These fur coats have been properly appraised so buyers know the true value of their purchase.
